Biography
Vicki began her dental career more than 35 years ago as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. Eager to further her education in the dental field, she applied to and was accepted into the University of Maryland Dental Hygiene Program. While there, she maintained Dean’s List status, received the Procter & Gamble Preventive Award, and was elected into the Sigma Phi Alpha Honor Society. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2011.
Over the years, Vicki has volunteered many hours of her time to support surrounding communities. Whether visiting elementary schools during Dental Health Month, participating in Sealant Saturday at the University of Maryland Dental School, contributing to Healthcare for the Homeless, volunteering at the Special Olympics, or assisting with the Dental Mission of Mercy, community service has always been close to her heart.
Vicki stays current with the many advancements in dental hygiene by attending continuing education courses both locally and across the country. She has participated in the American Dental Hygienists’ Association Annual Sessions and RDH Under One Roof conferences.
Vicki joined Elliott Family Dentistry in April 2013. Her enthusiasm for education is evident when her patients are in the chair. She enjoys sharing her knowledge about the connection between oral and systemic health, emphasizing that a preventive maintenance appointment isn’t "just a cleaning." Vicki is passionate about the future of dentistry, particularly the ways dental health can be enhanced through laser therapy, salivary testing, sleep apnea devices, and proper tooth alignment. She genuinely cares about her patients and looks forward to developing long-lasting relationships with them.
Vicki and her husband, Mark, reside in Pasadena with their four fur babies—Jackson, Theo, Paige, and Sofie. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, reading, spending time with their four grandchildren, and exploring their new hobby of boating.
